Many matter tasks can be performed by mass action. Knowing how and where to perform these mass actions can save you time.

Accepting Multiple Matter Assignments
If you have many matter assignments to accept, you can accept them all at one time from the Matter Search page.
- Find a list of unaccepted matters by doing one of the following:

Click on the Awaiting Acceptance link in the Matters Panel on the homepage.

If you have it configured, click on the Awaiting Acceptance info tile.
The Matters Search page displays with the list of matters to be accepted.

- Place a check mark next to the matters, or check the box at the top of the column to select all of the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Accept Assignment from the drop down menu. A confirmation window displays.
- Click Yes, Accept. The selected matters are accepted.
Declining Multiple Matter Assignments
If you have many matter assignments to decline, you can decline them all at one time from the Matter Search page.
- Find a list of unaccepted matters by doing one of the following:

Click on the Awaiting Acceptance link in the Matters Panel on the homepage.

If you have it configured, click on the Awaiting Acceptance info tile.
The Matters Search page displays with the list of matters to be accepted.

- Place a check mark next to the matters, or check the box at the top of the column to select all of the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Decline Assignment from the drop down menu. A confirmation window displays.
- Click Yes, Decline. The selected matters are declined.
Adding or Removing Multiple My Matters
You can add one matter to your My Matters from its Matter Overview page, or you can select multiple matters from the Matters Search page. You can also remove multiple matters from the search page. Once added, they will appear on your Matters homepage panel.

Place a check mark next to the matter(s) on the Matters Search page that you would like to add.
- Click Add to My Matters from the drop down list under the More Actions button. A confirmation displays.
To remove matters from your My Matters list, follow the same instructions and select Remove My Matters from the More Actions drop down.
Closing Multiple Matters
When a matter is closed, your firm cannot submit any more invoices to it. You should only close a matter after all invoices have been fully processed. If you know that multiple matters need to be closed at the same time, you can perform a mass action to close them on the Matters Search page.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matter(s).

Click Close. A confirmation window displays.
- Click Yes, Close. The selected matters are closed.
Reopening Multiple Matters
You can reopen one or more matters from the Matters Search page after they have been closed.
You must have the Admin role in order to perform this action.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Reopen from the drop down menu. A confirmation window displays.
- Click Yes, Reopen. The selected matter or matters are reopened.
Reactivating Multiple Matters
You can reactivate matters if they need further action from you or your client. You can reactivate one or more matters from the Matters Search page.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Reactivate from the drop down menu. A confirmation window displays.
- Click Yes, Reactivate. The selected matters are reactivated.
Adding Journal Entries to Multiple Matters
If you need to create a journal entry for more than one matter, you can do so from the Matters Search page.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Add Journal Entry from the drop down menu.
The Add Journal Entry window displays.

Complete the fields as necessary. See this topic for more information.
Attachments can not be added in journal entries for multiple matters. To create a journal entry with attachments, select one matter at a time.
- Click Save.
Printing Overviews for Multiple Matters
A Matter Overview report contains key information from the Matter Overview page. If needed, you can print a report that contains multiple matters. You can also save this report as a PDF to your desktop.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Print Matter Overview from the drop down menu.
A Matter Overview Report window opens.
- Click Print. A Print window displays with printing options.
- Click Print. The Save As window displays.
- Enter a name for the document.
- Click Save.
Adding a Budget Fiscal Year to Multiple Matters
On matters that use non-Life of Matter budgets, you can add future fiscal years or previous ones as needed.
You can perform this task from either the Matter Search page or the Budget Search page. You must have the Budget Contact role to perform this action.
- Select the matters or budgets for which you want to add a fiscal year.
- Click More Actions.

Select Add Budget Fiscal Year.
The Add Budget Fiscal Year window displays.
- Select a fiscal year from the drop down list.
- Click Add.
- A message appears on the search page to confirm the addition.
You may receive an error message if any of the fiscal years were unable to be added to your selected budgets or matters. Click Show Details to see more.
