You can locate matters by using the Quick Search in the CounselLink header, selecting the Matters tab, or by using pre-configured search links in the Matters panel on the homepage.
Performing a Quick Search for Matters
You can use the Quick Search field in the top bar to find a specific matter or locate matters that match your search term. Select Matters as the category (if it’s not already selected). Then, search globally using any matter attribute—such as name, number, or status.
The Matter Search page will display a list of results that match your criteria. If only one matter matches your search, the Matter Overview page opens automatically.
Accessing Matters from the Matter Panel on the Homepage
The Matters Panel on the homepage contains quick links to common searches performed on the Matters Search page. Clicking one will bring you to the Matters Search page with the filter you've selected applied to the results. You can also access matters that you've bookmarked (My Matters).
Accessing Matters from Info Tiles
You can also configure your info tiles to display matter links relevant to your needs.
Accessing Matters from the Matters Tab
Click the Matters tab from the top of the page. The Matters Search page displays with all active matters to which you have access. From here, you can use the search bar to find key words and filters and columns to modify your results. You can also use saved views to save your commonly used search criteria for quick access.
Adding a Matter to Your My Matters List
Bookmarking a matter allows you to access it quickly in the future. Any number of users can keep the same matter in their My Matters links.
You can add a matter to My Matters by two ways:
- The Matter Overview page
- The Matters Search page (allows you to add multiple matters at a time)
Adding to My Matters from the Matter Overview Page
You can add a single matter to your My Matters list from the Matter Overview page by clicking the star icon next to the matter's title.
Once clicked, the color of the icon changes to yellow, indicating that the matter has been added to your My Matters list. You can remove a matter by clicking the star icon again.
