In-App notifications are available in a drop down menu under Notifications. They alert instances where you are tagged in a comment or assigned to a task.

Using In-App Notifications
Once notifications are enabled, you will receive alerts whenever you are tagged in a comment.
- Click the Notifications button (bell icon) next to your username to open a dropdown list of items where you’ve been tagged. The red number on the bell indicates the number of unread notifications.
The Notifications button does not appear on pages that use the older CounselLink user interface.
Items with bold descriptions indicate notifications you haven’t opened yet.
- Click the caret icon to expand or collapse a comment.
- Click the title to go directly to the comment’s location.
You can delete or manage email notifications by hovering over the ellipses icon (⋯). To remove all items, click Clear All Notifications. Unless deleted, notifications remain in the list for 7, 14, or 30 days, depending on your organization’s settings.
The notifications list can display up to 100 items at a time.
Turning In-App Notifications On or Off
In-app notifications display a list of instances where you have been tagged in a comment. You can turn these notifications on or off from your User Profile.

Navigate to your User Profile by clicking My Profile under your user name. Your User Profile page displays.
- Click the Edit icon in the upper right corner. The Edit User Profile page displays.

Navigate to the Preferences section. Click Yes or No next under 'In-App Notifications.'
- Click Save. Your changes have been saved.
Turning In-App Email Notifications On or Off
You can manage your email notifications for comments you are tagged within and tasks you are assigned to within in-app notifications. You can turn them on or off directly within a notification.
For example, if you wish to receive comment tagging notifications only through in-app and not email, you can turn off email notifications for comment tagging. Updates made this way will also update your preferences in your email notifications.
- Click the Notifications tab on your top bar.

Hover over the ellipses icon next to the notification type you wish to manage (comment tagging or task assignment). A drop down displays.
- Select Turn off Email or Turn on Email, depending on the current status.
