Viewing the Matter Calendar
The matter's calendar allows you to create and view events for it.
You can access the calendar by two ways:

By clicking Calendar from under the More Actions icon in the top right corner of the Matter Overview page.

By clicking View Calendar on the Calendar tab of the Matter Overview page.
This opens the calendar for the matter.
Using the Matter Calendar
At the top of the page, you will see the Event Types button. Use this to filter the events shown on the calendar by certain event types.
Hover over a time slot and click Create Event to create an event on the calendar.
Viewing a Calendar Event
Click on the name of an existing calendar event to view a slide out panel of the event overview.
You can view all of the information about the calendar event here. Click View Event Overview to be taken to the Calendar Event Overview page.
Filtering the Calendar View
You can adjust the view of your calendar by the following methods.

Click the arrows next to 'Today' toggle your calendar view. For example, if you are viewing by week, click the arrows to look at previous or future weeks. Click the time frame next to the arrows to reveal a calendar drop down for selection. |

Click the Show full day or Show business hours button at the bottom of the calendar to view all hours of the day or only business hours. |
Creating a Calendar Event
You can create events for a matter to mark relevant meetings, milestones, or tasks associated with the matter.
- Click the Calendar Tab on the Matter Overview page.
- Click +Create Event. The Create Calendar Event page opens.

In the Event Information section, provide the required information:
Field Description Subject* Enter a name for the event. Due Date* Enter a due date for the calendar event to occur. Start Date Enter a start date for the event. End Date Enter an end date for the event. Priority* Select a priority level for the event (High, Normal, Low) from the drop down. Category Select a category of event from the drop down list. Type Select a type of event from the drop down list. Status Select a status of the event (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, Deferred) from the drop down list. Related to Matter Select a matter to relate the event to. If adding the event from the Matter Overview page, that matter is selected by default. Progress Enter a number to indicate what percentage of the event is complete. Reminder Enter a number in the first field and select an option from the drop down in the second field (Day, Week, Month) to specify a time before the event to send out a reminder email. Recurrence Select a recurrence from the drop down menu for the event if necessary. Recurrence End By Click the calendar icon to select a recurrence end by date of the event.
This is required if you select a recurrence for the event.
Owner* If creating the event from the Matter Overview page, this field automatically selects your user name. Private Select this box to only provide access to your user profile. Fields marked with an asterisk * are required.
- Enter a description of the event in the Description box.
- If necessary, click Add in the Resources section. The Select Resource window opens with a list of available users.
- Select the resource(s) you wish to add to the event.
- Click Select.
- When finished with the event creation, click Save. The Create Event Confirmation window displays.
- Click one of the following:
- Save & Notify: Saves the event to the matter calendar and sends an email to all resources on the event.
- Save Only: Saves the event to the matter calendar without notifying resources.
Deleting a Calendar Event
You can delete a calendar event from the Calendar Search page or from your My Calendar view. If you delete from the search page, you can delete one or more events at a time.
Unless you have the Calendar Administrator role, you can only delete events that you have created.
Deleting a Calendar Event from the Calendar Overview Page
- Find the Calendar Overview page.
- Click the trash can icon in the upper right corner of the page.

Click Delete. The Delete Event Confirmation window displays.
- Click one of the following:
- Delete & Notify: Deletes the event from the matter calendar and sends an email to all resources.
- Delete Only: Deletes the event from the matter calendar without sending any notification emails.
Deleting One or More Calendar Event from the Calendar Search Page
- Place a check mark next to the event(s).

Click Delete Calendar Event. The Delete Event Confirmation window displays.
- Click one of the following:
- Delete & Notify: Deletes the event from the matter calendar and sends an email to all resources.
- Delete Only: Deletes the event from the matter calendar without sending any notification emails.
Editing a Calendar Event on My Calendar
You can edit a calendar event from your My Calendar view or the Calendar search page. If you edit an event from the search page, you can edit multiple events at a time.
You can not edit the Event Type of an existing matter. Unless you have the Calendar Administrator role, you can only edit events that you have created.
Editing a Calendar Event from My Calendar

Click the name of an event from your calendar and select View Event Overview. The Calendar Event Overview page displays.
- Click the pencil icon. The Edit Calendar Event page displays.
- Update the event information. See this topic for more information on the fields.
- Click Save.
- Click Notify Resources to send an email notification to the resources you've added to the event.
- Click Save.
Editing One or More Calendar Events from the Calendar Search Page
- Place a check mark next to the event(s).

Click Update Event Info. The Calendar Mass Update window displays.
- Edit the fields as needed.
- Click Update.
Editing Multiple Calendar Events Simultaneously
If you need to update the same information in many events, the Mass Update feature will do this quickly. Mass Update allows the user to select the events and fields that need modifying. Once saved, the events are updated immediately. This task can be performed if you have edit rights to the selected events.
- Click the Calendar tab and perform a search.
- At the search results page, click the check box for each event that requires the same update.

At the Mass Update section, change values for the fields that apply to the selected events.
Field Description Start Date Beginning date for multi-day event. Due Date Date an event needs to happen. End Date Final day of multi-day event. Category Select the options that fits your custom category. Type Choose the kind of event. Status Choose level of completion. - Click Update to modify the selected events.
- At the confirmation button, click OK to continue.

At the confirmation pop-up, select your notification options. This completes the task.
Notification Option Description Update & Notify Send an email to all the resources. Update Only Update the calendars for all concerned, but no email will be sent announcing any changes. Cancel Remove all new information and return the event to its previous status for all fields.
